Hwy 66 near Lyons - Today's ride was originally scheduled for Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park, but due to road construction delays on Hwy 36 near Estes Park combined with a late start, I opted for a shorter ride that doubles back from Estes Park along Hwy 7, Hwy 72, and Hwy 119 before descending Golden Gate Canyon (Hwy 46) to the town of Golden. The ride begins in Denver and follows E-470 and I-25 north to Hwy 66 ( Exit 243 on I-25) and continues west on Hwy 66 to the town of Lyons.
